Over the last week, I have been working my way through the fundamentals of JavaScript, and I was surprised by how fast it was to get some of the basic concepts under my belt. When I started the course, I thought that it might be boring as so many before had been, and I was pleasantly surprised and found myself doing the coding challenges in no time at all. This course was very hands-on from the very beginning, and it’s something I enjoy about it. I have to admit that I am beginning to learn how to code, but the satisfaction that I feel when the code works after struggling with it a little bit was telling me I am on the right track.

The thing that I like about coding so far is that the barriers to entry were pretty low. I literally can do this on an old computer with Linux installed and get going (let me know if you want to see that tutorial).

What is inspiring is that I can already see some of the practical applications of what I have learned, and it is driving me to want to learn more.
